The menu you choose is selected but does not show because this sidebar has a different type of select menu.

Please check the given link. In index 4 the select menu is the selected type you want.

Implement this select menu in a different place with the help of your developer.

Your dashboard is great and I am using the Laravel version.

Could you please tell me or advise on how I can set the left hand menu to a certain option  - so the icon is highlighted and the correct sidebar menu is displayed?

As when I call up say the customers page I would like the customers icon and sub ment to be seelcted.
